Lossy TDF ⇒ OT

Fully-black-box reduction · standard model · PW08 · security loss: receiver privacy: at most twice the mode-indistinguishability advantage, by two hybrids through a pair of injective indices; sender privacy is statistical, up to a leftover-hash term

Statement

Lossy trapdoor functions yield bit oblivious transfer secure against semi-honest adversaries — PW08. The receiver with choice bit sends an injective-mode index , keeping its trapdoor, and a lossy-mode index , and the sender encrypts under with PW08’s IND-CPA scheme for uniform and a pairwise-independent .

Sketch

Mode indistinguishability hides from the sender. In the lossy mode keeps min-entropy given , so by the leftover hash lemma is statistically close to a uniform bit and hides from the receiver.
